The League of Women Voters of the Northampton Area will hold its book sale on Saturday, September 29 at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Early birds can pay $10 for early admission at 8 a.m.

Voter Registration at the 4th of July Naturalization Ceremony
The newly naturalized citizens will be registered to vote by the League of Women Voters of the Northampton Area at the annual 4th of July Naturalization ceremony. It will be held on the Hampshire County Courthouse lawn at 11 a.m The courthouse is on the corner of Main and King Streets in Northampton. Come join us. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the 4th.
LWV Northampton Area Board meeting
The next board meeting will be at the home of Jean Cherdack at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12.
Candidates Forum
Candidates for State Representative for the 1st Hampshire District will be answering questions on climate and energy issues.
Northampton Area LWV Annual Meeting
Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 24 at the Northampton Country Club. Cocktails at 5:30 p.m., Dinner at 6 p.m., Speaker: State Representative Paul Mark speaking on Gerrymandering, Redistricting and the 2020 Census at 7 p.m. and the Business meeting at 7:45. The next board meeting will be held on Sunday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at 47 Water St. in Leeds. The Riddles will be hosting.

Hosted by the League of Women Voters Springfield. Political bloggerand Springfield government expert Matt Szafranski joins us to present “Inside City Hall,” a primer on what the Springfield’s “strong mayor” form of government is, and how it works. Matt’s presentation will provide a foundation and background refresher for civic engagement in Springfield. LWV members and friends are invited to attend.
